Using Panasonic PV-DV800D as a webcam

Hey guys, I am trying to use my Panasonic PV-DV800D as a webcam and so far, I have no success getting the microphone to work:mad:; I am able to get the video to work:D, so people can see me while video chatting, however I cannot get the microphone on the camcorder to work:mad:. Hope I'm clear enough.... if anything is unclear:zip:, just reply and I'll try to clarify:).... I currently have it hooked up via firewire. I need to get this done asap. Thanks.

Do you see a microphone device in sound control panel for the Panasonic device?

Do you see a microphone device in sound control panel for the Panasonic device?

No, no microphones showed up in the sound control panel, but I do know that there is a microphone on the device.

It's not disabled either, it doesn't show up. I'm currently using the generic drivers that windows automatically installed.

Are there any problem devices that show up in device manager?

Nope, there were no devices with any irregular sign; they were all fine. Does firewire even allow audio at all?
