Hi

has anyone tried to install windows7/8 using this mp3 player? I tried to google it but didn't find anything relating this topic. The idea came up suddenly when I thought about reinstalling the os.

It sounds, in theory, that it should be possible. Afterall, mp3 players are basically a memory stick with the capability of playing audio from data stored on it. In practice, I don't think that it will be possible as, although it would certainly be possible to store the data on it, marking the player as active so that you can boot from it is unlikely to be possible.

Even if it is possible, you might make it so that your player no longer works as it should (the firmware needed to operate is also stored in the memory). Having said that, there is nothing stopping you trying, just as long as you are aware of the possible consequences.
