Using Wi-Fi and Ethernet at Same Time

When both the wireless NIC and the physical Ethernet NIC are both connected to a network that has an active Internet connection, which one will the host use for network data?

Will it randomly use both to get data, or will it choose the faster connection?

Just a question I thought of today.

There is nothing to be gained in what you suggest.

On speed alone, the ethernet connection is going to be quicker than a wireless connection.

I have tried what you suggest and discovered I was being plagued with dropped connections, which was rectified by disabling the wireless adapter.

I know Ethernet will be faster, but I'm trying to figure out which one Windows 7 will choose by default when they are both connected.
