Hi all, probably a slightly unusual question but I currently run Windows 7 virtually in VirtualBox on my PC (inside Linux). I am giving someone else my PC and I want to format the hard drive and install Windows 7 for them. Can I do this using the same version which I registered within VirtualBox on the same PC?

Thanks for any help.

If it is a retail license, absolutely legit. Just make sure it isn't in use on any other computers. If it is an OEM license, you may be toying the EULA's restrictions, and it may need to be called in to activate.

Cheers for the reply - it's definitely a retail license so i should be fine, in theory.

It will work just fine and be completely legit for resale.
