Hi, first time I've created a thread on anything so bear with me. Been getting a lot of BSODs while playing these two games in particular (Bioshock 2/Deus EX:HR), and also during other games (mostly on the source engine, Half life 2, Left for dead, Team fortress 2, etc.) but not nearly as much. Game runs for around 10-15 minutes before cutting out, Bluescreening and restarting. Have absolutely no idea why this keeps happening, and unfortunately I don't know how else I can explain the issue.

Specs are as follows,

Windows 7 Home Premium
Computer is custom built by Arbico, and is no more than 6 months old, OEM OS.
AMD Phenom X6 3.2GHz 1090T
8GB RAM
GTX 460 SE 1GB Graphics card

System health report and BSOD Dump & System file report attached.

If anyone helps, thanks in advance! And I also apologise if I've missed anything necessary out (new to this).

Nathan

Points to hardware but I would remove and replace your Symantec first

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

Some generic advice.

If you are overclocking STOP. return to the default settings at least for now.
If you are running a RAID update its driver.

You can read more on this error and what to try here... http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I'm not overclocking neither am I running a RAID, and have more or less done steps 1 to 6 in the provided link already. I was just a bit confused with what replacing my security suite would accomplish  I've used it for every computer I've had without issue. It might probably be a hardware defect like you mentioned but the Bluescreens are decidedly selective, it's not on every game, and it's not necessarily always on the most demanding ones, I can run Total Shogun 2 without fault, and other sort of demanding games like GTA IV without any issues; it's only really on Bioshock 2 and Deus Ex. I'll try to run through a few more of the tests in the meantime, and if worst comes to worse, I'll send it back for repairs.
