Very confusing problem

Hi everybody, I'm new here but was hoping to get some help with a problem I'm having.

I tried to install the windows 7 rc on my acer laptop. I did it as a clean install over the vista that was there before.

During installation, after the first restart I had a problem though. I got a blue screen saying fatal system error and could not go any further. After some research on here I tried a new windows disc that I had burned at a slower speed and this seemed to fix the problem as installation completed without a hitch when I inserted this new disc.

However the first time I restarted the computer after completion of installation, the same error happened. I'm now stuck as I can't boot up my computer. I've tried booting from both the windows 7 disc as well as my vista disc but just can't get past this blue screen. I'm happy to wipe my hard drive clean if necessary but I don't know how. Anyone got any ideas what I should do next?

As for the problem it might be a BIOS update that will help fix this issue.
Also can you fill out the SystemSpecs in your UserCP so we know the hardware you are using, Along with letting us know what model of Acer laptop it is. this will help us figure out your problem if we know more about what you are using.
