Very high disk usage keeps laptop slow in normal operations also.

My laptop is running slow. everything in task manager i.e. ram usage, processor usage are fine. but the hard disk usage i think is very high. Please look for attached pic.

Is it problem with hardware or any software related?

plz help me. should i change my hard disk.

Look at the Task Manager Resource Monitor to see if you can tell what Processes are causing high disk activity.
Resource Monitor is a button the the Task Manager / Performance tab.

My laptop specs are : HP probook 4530s with windows 7 ultimate x64.

Look at the Disk tab that I highlighted in my screen print - I think it's easier to use for this.
You are looking at the Overview tab.

Sort by the Total (B/sec) so the highest numbers are at the top of the list.
To sort, click on the Total (B/sec) column heading.
