Solved Very long bootup time

Hi,

I have a laptop that shows the blue "Welcome" screen for 15-20 minutes before Windows finally loads. I ran the MSCONFIG command and unchecked anything that isnt needed during startup. Once Windows loads, everything works normally. If anyone has any thoughts/suggestions, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Please post back a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image with all of the drives normally attached.

Then establish a Clean Boot, check for malware, check System Files and the other System Resources from the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7

Hi Greg,

The issue turned out to be a failing HD. I replaced the HD and reinstalled the OS. By the way, thanks for that link to the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7, that will definitely come in handy for me!

Be sure to keep with the tools and methods in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which assures a perfect install which will stay that way.
