Solved Very odd problem

Maybe im not doing something....When i put my disc in, I have to hit F12...also, when I go to the command prompt it says X:\Sources>

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 x64
I found this if that last one doesn't work

10 step FIX Windows 7 [all versions]

1.) Boot from "WINDOWS 7" DVD;
2.) Select "Repair computer";
3.) Select "Cancel" to exit the repair wizard;
4.) You will now get a screen which displays 'command prompt','system restore','memory diagnostics',etc......
5.) Select "command prompt";
6.) Type your "DVD-DRIVE LETTER" in command prompt, press ENTER;
7.) Now if your Windows 7 is installed in C drive, type "copy bootmgr c:\" without codes, press ENTER;
8.) After successful copy type "exit" without codes, press ENTER;
9.) Reboot computer;
10.) Select "start windows normally";

I get a "Access is Denied o file<s> copied.

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 x64
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
x:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt60 all /force
^replace x with the drive letter to your cdrom

del C:\boot\bcd bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

try that?

After it boots to the Windows 7 screen and you click repair your computer, does it show an operating system installed?

Note: You have no OS to select? Solution select install instead of repair and it will detect your drive, select cancel and go back to the repair section, your OS will show up now.

Im getting ready to try the step before my last post....Is there anyway to convert it back?

I'm not sure it's converted. I think you screwed up the master boot record when you were messing around with the partition. you need to get it restored somehow.

So spending a couple hours chatting with the OP we concluded that the hard drive somehow got corrupted and it was not fixable without a hard drive format. OP was able to see his hard drive using a 3rd party program but not in Windows. OP copied his information he need off the drive and formatted it. OP is reinstalling windows and so far everything is running smoothly.
