2 days ago I booted up my computer in the morning and the screen refused to display anything. It said it couldn't detect a VGA input. Since then I have tried replacing the RAM, adding a graphics card (asus HD6670), and trying multiple screens and VGA cables, all resulting in the same "No signal recieved" on the screen. This is bugging me a lot, as I just spent £300 on the upgrade a few weeks ago.

PC specs are in my profile.

Thinking out loud here...

You started with the on-board (motherboard) video (your system specs shows no video card), had the no input issue, replaced stuff, added a video card, all to no avail.

If this is correct, the problem points to the motherboard (you did not specify the model of mobo). The BIOS has the video set as "onboard" and if the video is defective even plugging in a separate video card the error remains as you didn't change the BIOS to use the card.

Catch 22 here as you can't see the BIOS setup to make the change! If the mobo is under warranty, get it fixed. If out of warranty, well...

The motherboard was an MSI I believe, nevertheless I bought it 3 weeks ago and it's still under warranty. I took it back to the shop where I bought it and he tested it and found no errors and it worked fine on his monitors. Very puzzled, I'll have to wait until I get it returned to see iff the problem has fixed itself. Hopefully that'll be later today or tomorrow.

OK, thanks. Odd that in the shop it works (not in your original post) - almost sounds like a monitor issue. Not much to do until the shop looks at it.

I took it to the shop about an hour after making that post. I find it weird because I used 3 different monitors and VGA cables, and none of them worked. Hopefully I'll have it back this evening.

Not much power supply for the 6670 video card, might start there.

Well as far as I can tell it's all fixed now. Very strange indeed.
Also the Asus HD 6670 works amazingly well.
