VGA Port Settings: External FHD Support Accidentally Disabled.

I use the vga port to output video to our FHD TV/monitor. I accidentally set the external display properties incorrectly and lost the ability to stream video to the FHD TV. Can anyone tell me how to restore this ability to the pc (Win7 Pro, 64-bit).


At the moment, when I connect the VGA cable to the pc I see the unsupported mode message displayed.

Do you have a restore point or system image prior to your incorrect setting!

I do not think a solution to my error needs to involve this. By this I mean if I could force both displays (i.e., Built In and External/VGA) to be on before connecting the TV to the VGA port I could then view the desktop. I have erred in this was before but, cannot recall how I was able to navigate around it.
