I made the mistake of not reading the fine print on an eBay ad, and a movie that I ordered tuned out to be VHS. I very rarely use it, and have not, since I setup my HTPC system, to which it is connected, quite some time ago.
The player does display the blue logo screen as it should, but when inserting the tape, the cues indicating that a tape is loading never appears, even though the player's counter is ticking away.
This could mean that the player has gone bad, but I'm wondering about the connections that I made...is it possible that I may have plugged the cables in wrong, or should I go shopping for another player?
