Hey,

I woke up this morning and found my computer in power save mode, nothing unusual so I turned it back on and let it boot normally, however after logging in I found that my audio was gone (Speakers are working fine, plugged in and turned on) but the drivers are good and it is picking up on my driver and so on... But my video's are now choppy as well, I don't really understand the problem here and I have only recently got this computer so I am not really sure of its build and for the past 2 weeks it hasn't had any problems at all so I don't know what caused this problem.

Any information on this matter would be a huge help.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, i've already tried Safe mode, Virus Checking, Problem Detection, Disc Cleaning, everything... All to no avail.

Ok... It told me the details of the scan are in a file called CBS.log, however I cannot access this file because it keeps telling me "Access is Denied" even though I am using Admin level access to open it.

Problem after problem, will they ever end?

Open an elevated Command Prompt and paste this command into it:
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log
This will show all the files you want to see in the Command Prompt window.

If there were any files listed that could not be fixed by SFC, then you could extract them from your Windows 7 installation disc to replace them with.

Extract Files from Windows 7 Installation DVD

Ok, upon further review of my problem I don't think its a Win7 Problem.

Windows Media Player (And all other media players) say they encounter a problem while trying to play a music file.
Youtube (And other video/media players) Become choppy and of course, have no sound.

I'm wondering if its my Video card thats gone haywire rather than my sound card, seeing as my computer still accepts I have a sound system and working speakers, just refuses to play anything on them.
