I just read a short article stating that Dell and possibly HP will not honor the warranty on damaged speakers if the user has installed the VLC media player. The problem seems to be the intense volume that the VLC player is capable of could damage the speakers by burning the coils.I have used this player for years but I hesitate to install on my Dell laptop until I find out more.
Anyone have some knowledgeable facts about this?
Thank you.
