view installed updates does not populate info

windows 7 64. i have installed updates on my pc and verified that they are in registry. i can also see them in view update history. however, when i look for them in control panel>programs and features> view installed updates, no updates are found. i also do not see them in the softwaredistribution> download folder. is there something anything i can do to have them populate in view installed updates? thanks in advance
