Virtual Dub help

does anyone know how to change the aspect ratio using virtual dub?
this thing is so complicated
surely someone here uses it or some alternative
software that can do the trick
its really starting to annoy me now trying to work this thing out:huh:

on the menu select video >filters > add >resize

EDIT: make sure in the video menu you have full processing mode selected or you wont be able to select the filter option
