I've always trusted the information from here, and now I'm going to hit again with another question in references to Virtual Hard Disk. Problem: Santa Claus (My wife) got me COD 4 for my computer (per my list). Great game and the one drawn back I've found with it (along with several games) is that it has to have the CD in drive to play it. I've google this problem and found some ways around it, but it seems that I have to run setup or I'm doing it wrong. My first question is what is a Virtual Hard Disk and where does it stay at when using it (memory or on the hard drive). Second question, is I know in windows 7 you can create one, but seems like so many steps. Is there a "FREE" program out there that is just as good as the one with windows 7 or better?

Pretty sure you need something like Daemon Lite. Make an iso file of the disc then load the iso in Daemon.

Free version here. (click the right download button)
