VIRTUAL PC HOW DO i GET STARTED???

Right now I am using win7 ultimate....I am interested playing around with the virtual word(I think?) I tried to d/l vmware player but I was not successful in dl'ing it so I gave up on that...now I see something call virtual box..
I want to run xppro in the virtual mode...This has to be easy sort of, not too confusing..is there any hope or help for me

I assume this would be because you did not sign up for an account (which is free). You have to have an account to logon to get to the freely available download.

Using XP Mode is likely the fastest way to get started. Microsoft even has a simple installation video on their website which should have you up and going within an hour.

Thanks to all who chimed in...I did download and install the 2 parts of the program only to find out that my processor does not handle hardware assisted visualization...does that mean I cannot use xp hardware?? or I can use visualization at all even though it is install on the pc..when I click on the program section it looks like win7, should it look like xp??

I tried to dl but for some reason it did not like the password or my email address or both and it would not accept them so after an hour of messing around I said nuts and quit!!I am using foxfire as my browser and it downloads everything quite well with no problems

I see you're going to try VBox, but you can get vmware player from here without having to sign up at all. FileHippo.com
