VirtualBox v. 3.12 & 4 Beta: how to change Snapshot default location?

All my computers are set up so that C: has only the Program Files, Program Files (x86) and Windows folders, plus a folder called Virtual Machines with subfolders for Virtual PC, VirtualBox and VMware machines. D: has the ProgramData and Users folders, latter with all respective subfolders for each user. Additional drives for media.

When I create a VBox virtual machine, it's easy to set vhd up in C:\Virtual Machines. But I use a lot of snapshots, and by default these are saved in %userprofile%\.VirtualBox (VBox v.3.12) and in %userprofile%\VirtualBox VMs (VBox 4 Beta 2).

For reasons not belonging here, I need these snapshots saved in C:\Virtual Machines\VirtualBox\Snapshots, if possible.

How to change the default save location of snapshots? Or is it at all possible?

I know this will not be very helpful; I don't have VBox installed right now.
But! I do know that there is a setting in the Options somewhere that will allow you to set default directories.
Hunt around and I'm sure you'll find it...

I would use a snipping tool at the host. Then you can store them in said folder - just tried it out.

Guys, seems I explained my issue not well enough. Here's a bit more background.

A VirtualBox Snapshot is a complete system image. Creating a virtual machine snapshot in VirtualBox is the same than creating an image on a real, physical computer. You can easily, with a click of a button, switch between these images. For testing purposes this is a really nice feature. You just take a snapshot i.e. create an image before you start goofing around. Taking a snapshot only takes seconds, restoring it even less.

My D: drive, where user profiles are located, has simply not enough space to store these snapshot images; for instance a 30 gig virtual machine creates a 30 gig snapshot, when I choose to make one.

There's no option in settings or anywhere else I can find that I could change.

I'm not sure about the version, but i did it yesterday this way-
Open virtualbox>Select the virtualbox>Click settings>In the third/second tab of the very first settings menu (on left), there'll be an option to change default location. Just choose 'other' from the drop-down menu.

I'm quite experienced VirtualBox user but I have never noticed that option! It simply was too close, too obvious, for me to see.

It's just where you said it is. Screenshot from VBox 4 Beta 2, but I checked v. 3.12 running on another rig of mine and it's exactly the same:

EDIT: Would be nice to have a global setting to change. Now you have to do this manually for every virtual machine.
