Vista laptop prblm with viewing W7 shared files

I've set up file sharing between a Vista Laptop and a W7 Desktop.
The desktop can see and access the Laptop's files but the Laptop can only see the file folders on the Desktop PC BUT not access them.

I get a window that advises Windows cannot access\\Desktop\My Pictures.

When I click the diagnose the problem button I receive a response, "My Pictures is available but the user account you are logged on with was denied access. Can one of you explain what this means and how I can resolve the issue???

Make sure you're using a Workgroup and not a Homegroup.
