technically i havent even installed (just got it downloaded) it yet so i guess i cant say...
but i havent heard of any incompatibilities between them..
i might try later to compile code so imma find out i guess....

holy hell ... just d/l'd it ( for the learning xp) and i almost shat. i have never seen any file, on any computer, download @ 12.2 MBp/s .... im still in awe, especially since i'm on a wifi connection....glorious..

microsft must have some turbo-charged port or something, or they really want this to get out in the open....wow

yeah F# was out there when PDC (i think or was it WinHEC...:sarc came about...

I downloaded and installed it. Pretty spiffy interface so far.

I installed a few extensions, including the sample "WPF Hello World" project, but I can't find it on my system. I even did a search.

The copy says it has some kind of multi-core support. However I didn't notice the phrase "64 bit" anywhere. Guess those of us who like to create shell extensions are still stuck in 32 bit land?

Yeah, it still installs under the x86 Program Files folder.

Hmmmmm, they should come up with some better way to do shell extensions than that IContextMenu COM stuff. Most people aren't all the psyched about COM in the first place. Redoing all that in 64 bit seems lame. There should be some way to just chain into it that's architecture independent. Definitely needs to be reworked fast. I don't think Best Buy is selling very many desktops these days with a 32 bit OS on 'em. Seems like any tower over $400 has 4+ GB ram and Vista64 on it.
