vlc eating CPU Resource

i had vlc 2.0.8 installed about a week ago, it was fine until yesterday, when it starts eating CPU resource 50-70%. i uninstalled 2.0.8 and re installed 2.0.5 but the problem didnt go away even a after computer re start

but today vlc 2.0.5 is working fine
