When I was on Vista, I looked into a few VNC programs (RealVNC, TightVNC, UltraVNC) to control the the pc's on my home network , and ended up with UltraVNC.
On Windows, I see many ( mostly old) posts re issues ; for me its not all that great either, in that:
- having many frozen screens
- mouse is often unresponsive
- cannot launch saved (old or new) VNC configuration files. ***
I think it time for a different product
Any suggestions??
My home network has 2 Win7 and 6 XP machines. I typically want to control any machine my main Win 7 ... but ideally want to control any machine from any location.
----
Error message below - its complaining about an invalid server....but UVNC vorrks fine if I simpley launch the viewer.
EDIT :: Error resolved by re-installing UltraVNV, selecting file association (on the install) and rebooting). Have not yet determined if preformance has improved.
