I just configured my very old obsolete mac laptop with my win7 pc to act as a second monitor through VNC.

the vnc program i'm using is uvnc. I have a password set and i have disable viewers inputs checked.

I was wondering should i be paranoid and do some ssh stuff (which i googled how to do but found it really confusing) or am i alright the way i am? or what other steps should i take?

I know someone who got vac banned on steam because vnc was running. So that sort of thing is worth bearing in mind.
