I have a Vodafone k3765 usb device. If I plug it in a usb port its not displaying anywhere. If I go to computer, manage, search new device, nothing is picked up.

I've tried to install the drivers for the device wich i downloaded of the net, but it doesnt even install the driver .exe

The device driver is still showing at my installed programmes since a previouse installation and can not uninstall it either. The system just hang.

What can i do ?

Hi Pooch,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried your tutorial, but still no luck. I have uninstalled all the faded out drivers, and there was a lot of the Vodafone drivers, but still no luck. I've followed your instructions step by step three times. Rebooted my laptop after every try.

I've noticed that there is no Vodafone HUAWEI drivers to be found in device manager, but under my ports drop down menu in device manager there is still HUAWEI MOBILE CONNECT shown. If I click on properties, its shows that there is no drivers for this device. I have tried to uninstall this as well, but its just hanging when I click uninstall.

I've tried to re-install the drivers for this device by plugging it back into a usb port, but it doesnt even pick up the device. (same as before)

I have no idee what to try next

I was wondering if its not possible to completely remove the device out of the registry and every where so that it is as if I've never plugged this into my laptop and try from scratch, but I'm not sure where or how to do this?

Maybe you know? or have some other advice ?:D

Ok, I've run he application that I downloaded as administrator.
After I restarted my laptop (as the application required) I plugged the USB device in, the popup message read "Installing device driver".
After a few minutes it stated "Device driver was not successfully installed"

I've noticed in device manager under ports, there is still the one HUAWEI MOBILE CONNECT, and one Vodafone Mobile Broadband-USB Device.

I still cant remove the HUAWEI MOBILE CONNECT, laptop just hang again. No errors coming up nothing.

Well at least we've got the application running now. :p

To get the device working, well.....

Just one more thing that might be of intrest.
I had a "mass storage device" error in my device manager a few weeks back. Dell did come out to fix this issue, but I have not try my Vodafone device after that till now recently.

Dont know if they've done something that may effect my drivers for the vodafone device.

You would have to ask Dell what they have done lol If other USB devices are working it should be OK
Have a look at this; Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
