Voice Recognition, quite good

Hello,
I discover with pleasure that the Voice Recognition feature built in Windows 7 performs surprisingly well when dictating; it compares with specific voice recognition applications. Still, I would have a few queries to make.

My first question is "Which one of these sub-forums would deal with this subject matter?" (for I guess not many people are interested in this function).

Then, in case it is this 'General Discussion' sub-forum,
1) Could I use the Voice Recognition function for more than one language? (currently I have access to it only in the language for which Windows 7 has been set up, Spanish in my case).

2) Number format: When I dictate a number, it gets written in Roman format; how do I change that?

Thanks in advance for any help.

1) You would need Seven Ultimate (I think), as that is the only one that can hotswitch languages.

As for the second, I would look in Voice Recognition settings.

Thanks, lordbob75.
Concerning the format of numbers, yes, I've tried the settings and all the help headlines in Windows (which I find a little confusing), and I see nothing dealing with that precise snag.
Any more precise indication?
Thanks anyway for your help on my other question.

Does it use that formatting for everything like in browsers, or just Word?

Thanks, lordbob.
Well, it seems to perform more or less the same in Word, in Excel or in Iexplorer. Above all, the behaviour is erratic: a umber (say 7) that it understands well may be written in anyone of these formats, unpredictably:
vii (small case always), siete, 7

Or, for dates (1524),
1524, 1500 xxiv (this, quite often), mil 524
It has special trouble with dates: it fails to recognize the common words for months and days of the week much more frequently than other words (and the regional settings in the computer are correctly set for Spain).

There are other smaller malfunctions, like the impossiblity of ordering to type a word with a capital first letter: I can do that only afterwards, by going back to the word and saying 'capital'; but that obviously is a little waste of time.

I find the built-in help specially incomplete for this module of voice recognition; which is a pity, for the recognition itself is fine.

Thanks again for your help.
