hi guys,

i've got a new one:

on my eeepc 1000h, running win7 for a few months now, my volume control icon has disapeared from the bottom right task bar.

i have found in the control panel a set of menus for enabling these items but it wont allow me to change the volum control on/off to on.

anybody else come across this?

To make the icons reappear, and enable the check boxes for the system icons, delete the specific registry keys.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19085-system-icons-enable-disable.html

  1. Run Registry Editor (RegEdit.exe).
  2. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify
  3. In the right Details pane, delete the IconStreams registry entry.
  4. In the right Details pane, click the PastIconsStream registry entry.
  5. Exit Registry Editor.
  6. Restart the Explorer.exe process.

Hello & thank you in advance for any help here.

I am running Windows 7 & am looking for a way to keep my volume control on screen instead of fading after a couple seconds. I am sure there is a key in registry file which controls this, however I do not know what to look for. Thank you
