Volume low on Packard bell Windows7 Notebook!

Anyone got any ideas on how to turn up the volume on the packard bell notebook. Just got it with windows 7 and used the volume icon on the bottom right to maximise all volume, but it's quite low, much lower than I recall on my previous laptop. Is there something I can do or something I can download to increase it? Thanks :sarc:
