Good morning,
I have an old SATA 320 GB desktop hard drive.
I want to format this drive as NTFS just to use as a backup drive.
I put it into my dock and although the laptop recognised the fact that there was hardware attached it did not show anything. I then allocated it a letter (X) and was then able to see the files etc.
The drive showed a small partition of 15 MB, a primary partition of about 180 GB, and a EISA partition of about 140 GB.
I want to format the disk as NTFS for purely backup files as I said.
Is there a way I can format the whole hard drive to NTFS please so I regain the full 320 GB?
Would I need to use something like DISKPART or is there another way?
Thanks in advance.
