I've read several posts of others using the Cisco VPN Client in XP mode and are having success, hopefully someone can help point me in the right direction to solve my connection issues.

I have Windows 7 64bit with XP mode installed. I installed the Cisco Client, version 4.8.xxxx. The VPN client shows connected and I can map network drives in the XP mode window, however I am not able to map the network drives from windows 7. Network connections are not my strong point but seems to me if the VPN client is logged in through XP mode I would be able to map the drives in either the XP window or windows 7.

I am missing something simple to make this work, or am I expecting too much from the XP mode function?

solved - never was able to map the network drives on the Windows 7 side of the system, but did find a post outlining the setup for Shrew VPN client. So far shrew is working like a champ.
