ok so my freind has recently built his own pc, which has been running nice and smooth for 2 months now now as it is a gaming pc he notice's when its not running stuff as smooth. so ive had a look and it seems an entire core of his quad core is chosen at random by this vVX3000 and max's it out. it can be disabled via task manager and then all runs well but why does it do this ? and is there a way to stop it loading with the pc ?

all help appreciated thanks :D

Does you friend have a LifeCam Camera a (Vx3000) perhaps from Microsoft? Thats what that process is,

However I don't know why it is taking so much resources?

If you don't use the the software I would think you can unstall it. Make sure you have a the driver for it.. as it should still work without the software.. (I have not used LifeCam before but I would think it would still work without the software as long as you have the driver for it)

Hope this Helps..

At first I thought that the .exe was part of a game, until I Googled it. The question would be whether he actually uses Lifecam or not? Even if he does, it doesn't need to be started on boot.
