I purchased a used Lenovo desktop computer with Windows 7 Home Edition 32-bit installed. It did not come with any recovery discs only a Lenovo driver's CD. It was reset back to the original factory defaults. I went to make a set of "Factory Default Recovery Discs" using Lenovo's One Key Recovery. However this option was not available. I presume it was done by the previous owner and it can only be done once.
I have read that I can download an .iso image of Windows 7 Home Edition 32-bit and (after burning it to a DVD) it can be used to install W-7 onto a new hard drive for my current Lenovo PC and that the OEM-COA Product Key that is on a sticker on this computer would be valid with it. Is this correct?
If so, there is an .iso file for my W-7 version that has SP1 included. My product key is for the pre-SP1 version. Would this Product Key still work with it or do I have to use the pre-SP1 .iso version?
--thanks-- -great forum by the way-
