What exactly is the problem you are having? Is Skype starting up but you cannot call? Or is it not starting at all?

Are you using the latest version?
Have you tried installing it in Compatibility Mode?

Skype works fine under 7 Professional x64 for me. You shouldn't have to install it in compatibility mode either. You might need a new webcam though - many older cams don't have 64-bit drivers.
