W7 cannot create new Folders

Hi,

I have an upgrade install on W7 onto a Vista Ultimate.

Working well until now I cannot create any new folders using any method.

Any ideas?

What exactly happens? Is there any type of error message?

No. The New Folder option is not available on Right Click. But it is available in the Explorer Folder top menu. I click it but no folder is created.

No error message.

Sometimes clean installing Windows is the best bet.

At the moment, all I can recommend is doing a clean install. I'm guessing something went wrong in the upgrade. Maybe someone with more experience with your problem can help.

I was able to create folders for a few days. Maybe it is a piece of software?

Did not fix the problem. I cannot create New Folders even from the tool bar in Explorer.

So Step 5 in the tutorial did not fix the problem.

But NewFolderFix.reg did.

I think it is the same reg edit but for some reason Step did not work.

When I say it did fix the problem I am not sure why it even was a problem on a 2 day old upgrade.
