I have an Xp box, a w7, box and w8.1 laptop. The previous setup worked, I could see the XP box from w7. I did a new w7 install on previous w7 SSD. I can't see the XP box. I made sure that the workgroup is the same. Then I tried my laptop. The laptop sees both, the XP sees both, but the w7 only sees itself. If I tried to change to homegroup, it says it can't connect to a homegroup. All the discovery is 'on'. The 'map' only shows the router and media share. I tried with firewall disabled. I Rclick on folder in explorer and 'share with' > nobody, homegroup read, homegroup R/W, and specific people. Over at the Control Panel net n share, it says network is 'work network'. Any ideas?
