Hi all

First, thanks for all the great advice this forums puts out!

I was struggling to install W7 64 bit (freezing at 'Welcome') but 32 bit installed OK. I upped the video RAM in BIOS and removed one of the 2 * 2GB RAM cards. 64 bit installed clean at that point...!

I reinstalled the RAM only to find that W7 behaved very strangely - sometimes grey-screening, disabling Ethernet adapter, speakers etc and generally misbehaving, until I removed the 2GB RAM again. All OK.

THEN... In find I can't disable the tapping feature of my mousepad (annoying - too sensitive) even after downloading the Synaptics driver (no tapping page presented so can't disable the damn thing!...)

ANY advice welcomed. Thanks!

Other Info
All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
