Hi there
A bit of a surprise
Downloaded W7 X-64 PRO from technet -- this will probably be my everyday OS on my Laptop - but I'm customising it first by loading it as a VM testing it and then doing a final Virtual to Physical before finally activating it.

On the install panel option I got please select the W7 you want to install -- from Home Basic to Ultimate.

I chose Pro.

I assume I'll need the PRO key I got from technet -- however I wish I'd known this in advance as it would have saved me 4 or 5 X 3GB downloads.

Not too bad in my case as I have fast uncapped Broadband @ 20 MB but if you have a slow download speed just load ANY W7 ISO (apart from enterprise) and obtain the Correct key for the system you want to install.

Cheers

I think you can do this with any release, just delete sources\ei.cfg and rebuild.

If you want to activate it, you will still need the proper key for whatever version you chose at setup.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
