Hi all
I got a stupid email from MS -- How's the RC going.
In it it says something about you can install on 3 separate computers.

Well I'm still using the BETA keys and haven't come up against any 3 Computer limit or activation problems with THOSE keys - and I've tested W7 on SCORES of different hardware configurations.

Has anybody actually had a problem with the RC keys or is the email from MS totally BS.

Cheers
jimbo

Windows 7 Release Candidate: How's it going?

Thanks again for downloading the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC). Your testing is very important -- having thousands of people use the software helps us make sure we’ve tested thousands of hardware and software combinations. So if you haven’t already installed the RC, please go ahead. Then:
-
Install and activate quickly: You need to activate the RC within 30 days. If you don't you'll receive frequent reminders. If you have misplaced your product key for activation, don’t worry. Just return to the site where you downloaded the Release Candidate, restart the download process and re-enter your Windows Live ID. This will give you the product key you need. (Your product key will work for up to three separate computers, so if you want to install the RC on another PC, you can re-use the same key.)
-
Try everything! Please try your normal applications and devices – including printers, scanners, cell phones and cameras.

Need help? While we are not able to provide phone support for the RC, we do have a place where you can go for answers. Experts on the Windows 7 Forum can help answer your questions. The forum also gives you a way to share what you’ve learned with other people.

It's quite strange as there are only a limited amount of keys to use anyway.
