And I just converted my 750GB MBR external drive to GPT without data loss using Partition Wizard. ( Windows 7 32 bit Standard BIOS machine)

Mini Tool Partition Wizard is a great little free tool.

It's simple to me.
If one has UEIF just use GPT on all drives no matter what size the ssd or hard drive is.

There is no difference of opinion here, we are all telling you you have to convert it to GPT.

What is the problem ? It takes 10 seconds, you should be done already.

If you did it already, post a new shot of DM, come on amaze us we`re waiting :huh:

At the time of the post in the quote above, you were told in posts #2 and #4 to convert to GPT. Since that post that you quoted here, posts #13. #14, and #16 advised, directly or indirectly, to convert to GPT. The only dissenting opinion came from Megahertz07, which was debunked by several of us.

I'm glad you were able to fix it.

I always thought that to have a GPT disk you must have a UEFI BIOS as GPT specs were written under UEFI specs.
I also read from a Seagate paper that to use GPT drives larger than 2.2 T on a Legacy MBR it has to be partitioned in smaller sizes and with a workaround software it was seen as a single drive.

I wrote to Brink and his answer is: "Windows 7 will natively support GPT data disks no matter if you have it installed using UEFI or legacy BIOS."

That said, I was wrong. My apologizes.
