Hi I'm new here and not sure how to write one of the threads, so here goes.

A few days ago all of my start menu items that I had pinned myself disappeared (not the "All Programs"). I have been trying several different things like...
-Deleting the "StartMenu" folder in the directory "C:\Users\Max\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned," for it to create a new one on it's own. Of course, it did, but after i started to re-pin shortcuts again, after a while, they would all just vanish once again.
-Removing all pinned applications and re-pinning
-Rebuilding Icon Cache
-Scanning for Virus'
-Using windows CMD ("sfc /scannow")
-and a few others I can't remember.

This is starting to become a hassle getting around since I have become accustom to using all sorts of shortcuts to navigate around during computer usage. If anyone has any ideas or solutions please help me out, Thanks!

Hello TSRA, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like you Start menu pin to area may be corrupted since they keep vanishing. Use the tutorial below to reset your Start menu pin to area, then see if the items you pin stay afterwards.

Ok Thanks, I just ran the batch and restarted.
So far so good, re-pinned my shortcuts.
Now I'll wait till tomorrow to see if everything is still good, if so then I'll "Mark as Solved."
