So I did a clean install of Windows. It started downloading a bunch of updates, of course, and they would install when I rebooted.
As it stands, it's telling me that I have an update that will be installed when I shut down. When I shut down, it says configuring update 1 of 1 (or something to that effect) for a minute or two, and then it shuts down.
When I reboot it, it says configuring service pack 0% for a while, and then it says it could not configure the service pack, reverting to previous settings.
