Solved W7 upgrade

here's the thing: I read that W7 will be phased out and I'm wondering if I should consider upgrading my Home Premium to a higher OS. I made the mistake of buying XP professional way back when and found it only clouded issues for a rank amateur like myself. Would it serve any purpose to upgrade W7?

You already show windows 7 home premium ?
Win-7 pro has Group policy
Ultimate has a bunch of language packs
If you don't need either of those I'd say no it's not worth the extra costs,

Windows 8.1 ?
Might want to wait for win-9 or what ever they will call it

IMO that is pretty far away, unless you are a big company. Individuals can wait until 2019 to upgrade or something like that. No need to go and buy an OS you don't want right now. Stick with 7 and wait for Windows 9, then consider upgrading.

In 6 years your hardware will be collection Social Security and making funny gruntings sound like grandpa.
