I am supposed to receive the W7 upgrade CD today!!!!!!!!

I understand that when I run the upgrade that Vista will be removed and everything will be wonderful.:D:D I have a backup of Vista.:sarc::sarc:

Since I will receive a license with the upgrade and if for some unknown phenominum I need to reload W7 can I download it from MSFT or just reload it with the upgrade CD.

Thanks

Well, After I install 7 and get it set just right, I am going to do a complete backup so I'll never haver worry about reinstalling AND activating. Just restore and there you go!

I'm anxiously awaiting the reports from the field on this from somebody with the actual upgrade media.

My understanding is that to load the upgrade disc, you have to have the previous OS installed on the machine and it has to be activated in order to upgrade.

Thus, if you were to start all over a year from now...you would be forced to install Vista and get it activated and then upgrade it.

Exactly the way that I would have gone.
