I hope this is the correct area for my question.

I am using W7 Media Center with my HTPC setup. I would like to get rid of keyboard & mouse and use only MCE remote (IRTrans).

I have a problem waking up the HTPC from standby with remote only: The PC wakes up ok but there is no signal on my TV. After I move my mouse TV wakes up. I can hear that the PC is actually up&running because I hear the menu sounds from my speakers when I use my remote, but there is no signal on TV. It doesnt seem to matter if W7MC is running or not. There is no signal, no matter if Media Center is running or not.

What I've done so far:

  1. Disabled the "turn off display after xx minutes" option.
  2. Disable all screensavers from Windows 7.

Sounds like the display adapter is not waking properly. Try updating the drivers, etc.

get a program that simulates mouse movement and make a macro to run on resume, could be a work around?

I have Ati Radeon HD2600 Pro, and I'm using latest drivers.

I will have to try that mouse emulation.
