I'm considering getting an xBox 360 to use as an extender for my W7 PC and have a question.
I will be getting a quad-tuner TV card for my PC and use the PC HDDs for recording programs. I want to extend (FiOS hardwired to PC router to xBox) to the xBox for playback. Does it indeed work this way? I'm trying to avoid buying the xBox 250gb HDD when I already have more than I need on my PC. I have a feeling this isn't going to work and is what many gripe about.

After Time Warner eliminated all watchable ClearQAM from basic cable, we bought an HDHR Prime cableCARD tuner for my MC box. So that my wife can watch her shows on her HDTV, we got a 4GB XBox 360 (the slim black one) and set it up as an MC extender. Wow, it works great and was quite easy to get going. Now she can watch John Stuart in fully copy protected HD from my MC box in the livingroom.
Of note, ShowAnalyzer does not work on copy protected shows, so we have to manually jump over the commercials. Curse those media fat cats. :sarc:
