Hi.

I use a RT61 wlan card for which the winupdate got a new driver just a week ago.
Now everytime i try to copy something to my second computer which is VistaHomePrem sp1, my computer freezes with no event log message.

Everything else works fine (fe. uTorrent, emule, www, etc.).

Specs:
Windows7 x64 r7100
6Gb ram

same here

copy files from my main PC to my laptop (both WIN 7) over WLAN causing a short about 20s freeze to my main PC

the problem is not repeated while working over lan

not for seconds but forever like BSD

Well for me the computer freezes completely ... just not blue screen.
So i have no clue whats wrong.
Same computer with vista-sp1 worked perfectly.
Also i can not install vista64bit drivers for my ralink wlan card ... so i used the windows driver.

Please help ... it always happen if much bandwidth is used through the wlan adapter.

thx in advance

Have you installed the proper motherboard manufacturers drivers rather than rely on the generic ones that the Windows 7 installer installed?

That's something else. We all get fast connections and no freezes.

Same problem over here!

I noticed the last post where posted some two years ago here but im desperate and in big need of help. And believe me Microsoft, as a fan, im getting really really pissed about this problem.
I decided to reformat my computer since when i bought it, windows have over and over again complained that im not using a genuine copy of windows. I AM!
After the reformatation, the complaint is gone but everytime im copying something over the Wlan or downloading something that goes beyond "minor-workload" the computer freezes for a good minute.
Afterwords it goes back to normal but the download/copyspeed is back to 0kb/s and sometimes the computer cant find internet on the existing Wlan-connection. Please help me, i have tried anything.

The most enoying thing is that if i have a sound on while freezing, it sounds scary as shit and there is no way to turn it down and it takes ages to reboot the computer, which i did a couple of times when the problems started.

Excuse my lousy english (Swedish man here) and please explain in words that are understandable. Im not a noob in anyway, but im not a nerd either :)

Have a nice day!
