Wake up freeze -.-

Hi all, i'm asking here help cuz have lost hope in google and other search methods.

sometimes my comp freezes up after i wake it up from sleep (usually i just hit the key "any" on my kb ;D). It freezes completely, even num lock eye doesn't toggle on and off, so i'm assuming it's something hardware and/or something in a lower tier of the boot pile that tilts.
this behav doesn't apply al the times, this is the odd part and what causes me most of the troubles figuring out what's broken.

since i have no clue on what information to show you, i will comply your requests.

If you are willing to do some work here, I'm sure we can narrow it down. I'm guessing it's a out of date driver on your system. However without intentionally causing a crash I don't have a way of seeing what remotely.

To that end you can enable driver verifier.

(make sure you are prepared to enable it and have read the information at that link, it can make your system unresponsive in extreme cases)

Then assuming it does generate some blue scree dump files. The next step would be to follow the instructions here.

Without a minidump file to look over your drivers anything specific I said right now would just be wild guesses.

Does it unfreeze after a random amount of time? I had a problem like this briefly, were it would sometimes temporarily freeze after wake up. The hard drive I had then wasn't compatible with the hard drive sleep options (in power config), disabling hybrid sleep seemed to help in the short term if I recall right.

your guessing might be right, since i've installed only "basic" drivers (those provided by the windows installation first and w/update then) and only video drives are from their owner, this due the inability to find compatible drivers (i.e. driver downloaded from owner site that say they are not compatibile even if they're flagged for my SO itself -.-')

none i was able to find at all, unfortunately.
it just freezes up and even after 30 minutes is still unresponsive (this is in response to Lost Colonist's reply aswell)

If you are getting freezes - do not turn the system off and wait patiently. There maybe an error message (i.e: blue screen). If you are getting blue screens, see this: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

If you are just only getting freezes, not blue screens. Then follow these steps...

   Note

If just a freeze and reboot look in event viewer (type eventvwr in search) go to the windows log>application tab
Check for critical errors (they have red in the left column) that say app crash, app hang, or anything relating to the problem.
When you find them please note the event ID and source code and tell us what they are

If you are just only getting freezes, not blue screens. Then follow these steps...

it just happened.
the bad news is there is no red flag to this time frame in that log...
...the good news is that there are 3 errors in the system log.

after 67 seconds from the first event logged in today's log, there is a server error ID 2505, then after 1 second there is a service control manager one, ID 7011 and this error repeat itself after 132 seconds but i think, but i'm not 100% sure, that this happened after the reboot.


about driver verifier: well i'm not so sure of what i'm looking at, i just opened it and selected last option (visualize driver info etc) but in the subsequent panels i can't figure out if there is something broken
