Hi, I am having a problem regarding waking up from standby mode, after going to standby I have to press a key to wake up either from my mouse or keyboard...It will switch on and the light will go from blue (on) to orange (standby) about 4-6 times and then it will stay on orange (standby) and I will not get anything on the screen but the fans will keep spinning and have to force shutdown by holding the power button:/ When I restart it will say resuming Windows (I do not go into hybernate mode tho) and take a little time to load me back to the loggin screen.

I have done a little research into this and some people have said it may be my graphics driver (ATI Radeon HD 4650 OC), I have reinstalled Windows yesterday and installed everything except the ATI software I let Windows update install my graphics driver and am still having this problem:/ Performance and info advanced tools are not reporting anything yet.

Does anyone have any soloutions to this, thanks in advance for the help:)

Hi

Have you tried contacting your card manufacturer about the issue?
I'm aware that some 4xxx cards had some (card)BIOS issues and this was resolved by BIOS updates.
I'll try to find the link for you - there's a site that hosts the new BIOS files

Regards

Thanks for replying:) Yes I have installed the ATI Catalist software suite and still had this problem, about the BIOS, I have not had any information about any BIOS issue so this may be the problem so I would be greatful if you could find me the latest version.

Thanks again.
