About two months ago I thought I would move the "Fax" folders to a directory on my data drive. Like others here I keep my data off the OS drive and backup the drive regularly. I do and don't use the Windows default libraries.
In my next backup of my data drive the backup stopped saying I did not have permission to copy Inbox. To be honest I didn't even relate the two events, me moving the Fax folders and the stoppage. I checked my data drive for a folder called INBOX and couldn't find one. It was no big deal to click on the "Continue" button however I did notice that it was also copying some of my data twice, kind of like including a junction point in the copy. I didn't have to time to resolve so I just kept clicking "Continue" to the permission box.
Today I decided to determine what was going on. Using search and some wildcards, low and behold the Inbox appeared and in the path it stated faxes. I finally put two and two together.
So I thought I would undue what I had done. I started the Fax program, click on Tools, click on Fax Settings, click on Advance tab, clicked on Move Folder. I thought I would put it back to c:\programdata\microsoft\windowsNT\MSfax. I did so and ran a test. It no longer stops at the Inbox but it does stop at "SentItems". Went back and checked, the move folder moves everything and there does not appear to be a way to set individual folder locations.
I want to get them all back to default and I'm not opposed to losing what little data is in folder.
Does anyone know how I can achieve this, please.
Any help would be appreciated.
