Hello all Win7 Forum-goers!

My problem is this: Whenever I play DOTA on a LAN, I drop out of the game about 2 seconds after the map loads. I can play just fine on Battle.net, but for some reason I drop out of LAN games once it loads. People can join the games I host and I can join their games, but once into it, I drop out. I have no idea what this could be, as I have a static IP set up and port forwarding as well (not that forwarding should be the issue anyways). I've got Windows firewall set up to allow it and I am running it in compatibility mode for WinXP SP2 as well as also running it as administrator. Needless to say, I'm at a loss for ideas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Are you certain all computers in your LAN network have the same patch for WC3?

Because LAN does not check whether or not the clients are running the same game version, it will disconnect anyone ingame without the same patch as the host.

Hey Cheese,

I'm dealing with the same problem and I was wondering if you solved it by now. I'm really clueless by now and I think I tried everything I could think of to make it work. If you're still active on this forum I would pretty much apreciate any feedback you can come with ... or anyone else for that matter. Thank you
